1. Who we are

SEO 24x7 (seo24x7.com) is operated from Queensland, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of SEO 24x7.

We are bound by the *Privacy Act 1988* (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct or complain about it.

SEO 24x7 is in beta. Features change frequently, and this policy will be updated as they do. Check the "Last updated" date above.

2. What we collect

2.1 Everyone who visits

When you visit any page, our hosting and edge network (Cloudflare) processes standard technical information, including your IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, referring page, approximate location derived from your IP, and time of request. This is used to serve the page, cache content, and protect the Site against attack and abuse.

We do not run Google Analytics or any third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking script on the Site.

2.2 When you use a free tool

Our tools (such as the llms.txt generator, page checker and speed test) accept a URL you submit.

  • The URL you submit is fetched and analysed by us.
  • Your IP address is recorded in a daily usage counter so we can enforce fair-use limits. The counter is keyed to the date and is deleted when the day rolls over.
  • The results of a check or test are saved in our database with a randomly generated identifier so you can return to them via a link. Anyone with that link can view the result. Results are not tied to your identity unless you are signed in.
  • For the speed test, the URL you submit is sent to the Google PageSpeed Insights API.
  • For some page checks, search terms derived from the page are sent to the Wikidata API for entity lookup.

If you submit a URL that itself contains personal information (for example in a query string), that information will be processed as part of the check and may appear in the saved result.

2.3 When you create a community account

Accounts are created by signing in with a third-party identity provider (currently Google and GitHub; LinkedIn is supported in our code and may be enabled later). We do not create, receive or store any password.

From the provider we receive: your provider user ID, your email address, your display name and your avatar image URL.

You may then add: a handle, a bio, specialities, links to your own profiles or sites, a location and an organisation. Your profile is private until you explicitly publish it. Once published, your profile, handle, bio, links and community activity are public and may be indexed by search engines and AI assistants.

2.4 Optional AI-assisted profile drafting

If you use the optional profile-draft feature, you give us a single handle or URL. We then fetch a small, capped number of publicly available web pages from that starting point and use an AI model running on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers AI) to generate a draft profile. We keep a record of the run, the seed you provided, and the draft produced. The draft is shown to you for review — nothing is published until you publish it. You can decline this feature and fill in your profile by hand.

2.5 When you take part in the community

We collect and store the content and activity you generate, including: case studies and other posts you write; images and evidence you upload; comments; votes and reactions; who you follow; quiz answers; ranking exercises you complete; points, levels, badges and league placements; and reports you submit about other users' content.

Uploaded evidence images are served publicly at their own link. Do not upload screenshots containing client names, personal information or commercially sensitive data unless you have permission and intend them to be public.

2.6 Sessions and security

When you are signed in we set a session cookie (s24_session) and store the corresponding session record in Cloudflare KV for up to 30 days. We also set a non-sensitive readable flag cookie (cw_auth) so the page knows you are signed in. Where anti-bot verification is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may process a token and your IP address to confirm you are not a bot. See our Cookie Policy.

2.7 When you contact us

If you email us we keep your email address, your message and our reply so we can respond and keep a record.

2.8 Sensitive information

We do not seek sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) and ask that you do not include it in profiles, posts or uploads.

3. Why we collect it

We use personal information to:

  • Serve, secure and improve the Site and its tools.
  • Enforce fair-use limits and prevent abuse, fraud and vote manipulation.
  • Create and operate your account, profile and community participation.
  • Calculate points, levels, badges and league standings.
  • Moderate content and enforce our Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Respond to your enquiries.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

4. Automated processing and automated decisions

Parts of the Site make decisions about content and accounts using automated systems, without a person reviewing every case. We think you should know about these:

  • Fair-use limits — automatically applied using your IP address and the date; the effect is that a request is refused until the next day.
  • Vote weighting and abuse detection — voting patterns between accounts are analysed automatically to detect coordinated or inauthentic voting. The effect can be that a vote is given reduced weight or disregarded, and that points, levels or league placement are adjusted.
  • Account status — new accounts are automatically placed on a probation status with reduced voting weight.
  • Content moderation signals — submissions may be automatically held for review or flagged based on their content and links.
  • Points and levels — calculated automatically from a ledger of your activity, and recalculated from time to time.
  • AI-assisted profile drafting — described at section 2.4, and always reviewed by you before publication.

The kinds of personal information used in these automated processes are: your IP address, your account identifier and status, your voting and posting history, the relationships between your account and other accounts, and the content you submit.

If an automated decision affects you and you think it is wrong, email [EMAIL] and a person will review it.

5. Who we share it with

We disclose personal information to service providers who help us run the Site:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — Purpose: Hosting, edge network, database (D1), object storage (R2), session storage (KV), AI model inference, bot protection · Location: Global edge network; our primary database region is Oceania (Sydney)
  • Google LLC — Purpose: Sign-in (OAuth) if you choose it; PageSpeed Insights API for the speed test · Location: United States and other countries
  • GitHub, Inc. (Microsoft) — Purpose: Sign-in (OAuth) if you choose it · Location: United States
  • Wikidata / Wikimedia Foundation — Purpose: Entity lookup during some page checks · Location: United States and Europe

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of any person.

If our business is sold or restructured, information may be transferred to the acquirer, subject to this policy.

6. Overseas disclosure

Because the Site runs on a global edge network and uses the providers listed above, your personal information is likely to be accessed from or stored in countries outside Australia, including the United States and other countries where Cloudflare operates data centres. By using the Site you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers with appropriate security and contractual protections, but overseas recipients may not be subject to laws equivalent to the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Public information — please read

The following is public by design:

  • Your published profile, handle, bio, links, location and organisation.
  • Case studies and comments you publish, and the metrics and claims within them.
  • Your points, level, badges and league placement.
  • Images and evidence you upload in support of a case study.
  • Tool results, to anyone holding the result link.

Public content may be indexed by search engines and ingested by AI assistants, may be copied or archived by third parties, and may remain accessible in caches after you delete it. Do not publish anything you are not comfortable being permanently public.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information: the Site is served over HTTPS; sessions use signed, HttpOnly cookies; we store no passwords; access to administrative systems is restricted and protected by multi-factor authentication; and we rely on Cloudflare's platform security controls.

No system is perfectly secure, and the Site is in beta. You use it at your own risk. If you become aware of a security issue, please email [EMAIL] rather than disclosing it publicly.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

9. How long we keep it

  • Fair-use counters (including IP addresses): deleted when the day rolls over.
  • Tool results: retained while the tool is in service, so result links keep working. Ask us and we will delete a specific result.
  • Account and profile information: retained while your account is open.
  • Community content, votes and points ledger: the activity ledger is append-only and retained while your account is open, so that scores remain auditable.
  • Sessions: up to 30 days from sign-in.
  • Emails to us: retained while needed for our records.

When you close your account we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it by law or need it to resolve a dispute or enforce our terms. Content you published that others have interacted with may be retained in de-identified form.

10. Your rights

Access and correction. You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email [EMAIL]. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days. We may need to verify your identity. There is no fee for a request, though we may charge a reasonable cost for supplying access in some circumstances.

Deletion. You may ask us to close your account and delete your information, subject to section 9.

Anonymity. You can browse the Site and use the free tools without giving us your name or creating an account.

Complaints. If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, email [EMAIL] with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

11. Visitors outside Australia

The Site is operated from Australia and this policy is written to Australian law. If you access the Site from outside Australia, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws. Where laws such as the EU or UK GDPR apply to our handling of your information, you may have additional rights, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. 12. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the Site develops. Changes take effect when published on this page, and we will update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be signposted on the Site.
