This Acceptable Use Policy sets the rules for using seo24x7.com — its free tools, its API endpoints and its member community. It forms part of our Terms of Use. Breaching it can cost you access to the Site, your content, your points and your account.
SEO 24x7 is in beta and the tools are free. Limits exist so that everyone gets a turn and so the service stays affordable to run.
1. Only test sites you are entitled to test
Our tools fetch and analyse the URL you give them. You may submit a URL only where:
- You own the site, or
- You operate it for a client or employer who has authorised you, or
- The page is publicly accessible and you are analysing it for legitimate research, comparison or competitive-analysis purposes, and your use does not burden that site.
You must not use our tools to:
- Probe, scan or test the security or infrastructure of a site you do not have permission to test.
- Reach content behind a login, paywall or access control you are not entitled to use.
- Target internal, private, local or non-public network addresses.
- Attempt to induce our servers to make requests to systems you could not reach yourself.
- Harass, overload or disrupt any third-party site.
Our tools apply protections against these uses. Attempting to defeat those protections is a breach of this policy in itself.
2. Fair use of the tools and API
Tool usage is capped per visitor per day and across all visitors per day. These limits change as we tune capacity.
You must not:
- Automate, script or otherwise programmatically drive the tools or their endpoints without our written permission.
- Rotate IP addresses, use proxies or VPNs, clear or forge identifiers, or create multiple accounts in order to exceed a limit.
- Resell, sublicense, white-label or repackage our tools or their output as your own service.
- Bulk-collect, scrape, mirror or systematically extract the Site's content, results or database.
- Use the Site to train a machine-learning model on our content without our written permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source of any part of the Site, except to the extent that restriction is void under law.

3. Treat tool output as a draft
Everything our tools produce — generated files, scores, checks, recommendations — is an automated draft, produced by a beta service. Review it before you use it. Do not publish a generated file to a live site without reading every line. Do not present tool output to a client as a professional audit without verifying it yourself.
4. Community conduct
The community works because members publish real, checkable work. Keep it that way.
Do:
- Post your own work, in your own words.
- Give real numbers you can back up, and say how they were measured.
- Anonymise client work you do not have permission to name.
- Disclose any commercial relationship when you recommend a product or service.
- Vote on the merit of the content.
Do not:
- Post content that is false, misleading, fabricated, or that inflates or invents results.
- Plagiarise, or post content you do not have the rights to.
- Post spam, promotional filler, affiliate-bait, or content whose main purpose is to place a link.
- Take part in link exchanges, private blog networks, paid links or any other link scheme through the Site.
- Operate multiple accounts, buy or trade votes, coordinate voting with others, or otherwise manipulate votes, points, levels, leagues or rankings.
- Harass, bully, threaten, defame, or abuse anyone, or engage in hate speech or discrimination.
- Post sexual content, gratuitous violence, or anything involving minors inappropriately.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Post other people's personal information without their consent, or client data you are not authorised to share.
- Post malware, exploits, phishing content, or links to any of the above.
- Use the Site for anything illegal under Australian law or the law that applies to you.
5. Uploaded evidence
Screenshots and files you upload to support a case study are stored by us and served publicly at their own link. Before you upload:
- Redact client names, logos and identifying details unless you have permission to publish them.
- Redact personal information — names, emails, phone numbers, addresses — belonging to anyone else.
- Redact commercially sensitive data such as revenue figures you are not authorised to disclose.
- Upload only images you own or have the right to publish.
You are responsible for what is visible in what you upload.
6. Links in member content
Outbound links you post are published with rel="ugc nofollow". They pass no ranking signal. Posting in order to acquire links is a breach of this policy, and repeated link-driven posting from the same domain will be detected and blocked.
7. Security and integrity
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its accounts, its databases or its infrastructure.
- Interfere with, disrupt or overload the Site, or launch a denial-of-service attack.
- Introduce viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
- Circumvent authentication, rate limiting, moderation, or any other control.
- Use the Site to attack, phish or defraud any other person.
If you discover a vulnerability, please report it privately to [EMAIL] and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it before disclosing it. We will not pursue good-faith researchers who follow that process, stay within these rules, and do not access or alter other people's data.
8. How we enforce this
We use both automated systems and human review. Depending on what happened and whether it is repeated, we may:
- Remove or unpublish content.
- Refuse or reduce the weight of votes, and recalculate points, levels and league placement.
- Place an account on probation or restrict what it can do.
- Strip badges or reset points.
- Suspend or permanently close an account.
- Block an IP address or a domain.
- Report the matter to law enforcement, and cooperate with any lawful investigation.
We generally start with the smallest response that fixes the problem, but we may go straight to closing an account for serious breaches — particularly fraud, attacks on the Site, coordinated manipulation, or anything involving harm to a person.
We do not owe you notice before acting, but if you think we got it wrong, email [EMAIL] and a person will look at it.
9. Reporting a problem
If you see content that breaches this policy, use the report function where it is available, or email [EMAIL] with a link and a short description. We review reports and act where warranted, but we do not undertake to review every piece of content before it is published.
10. Changes
We will update this policy as the Site grows and as new kinds of abuse appear. The current version is always the one on this page.
